Commercial Spray Foam Insulation for Maximum Efficiency

What is spray foam insulation made of?

At its core, spray foam is polyurethane foam. It’s created when two liquid chemicals undergo a chemical reaction to form the plastic foam. These chemical components are often referred to as the A-Side and the B-Side, and they combine to create an expanded plastic foam with air pockets in between that insulates and seals spaces.

Unlike fiberglass and styrofoam, which sag and bunch over time, spray foam insulation maintains its shape and size. This is because it forms an effective air barrier that prevents energy loss by stopping the flow of air into and out of your home.

The resulting air seal stops your heating and cooling system from running all the time to maintain a steady temperature, which saves you money on your energy bills year-round. Spray foam insulation also provides a strong moisture and vapor barrier, protecting your structure against mold and mildew.
